These Seller Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Dhobara consignment marketplace. By submitting a listing on Dhobara, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. Dhobara reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By listing an item on Dhobara, you agree to be bound by these Seller Terms & Conditions. Dhobara reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
2. Eligibility
Sellers must be 18 years or older and located within the United States. By listing on Dhobara, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of all items you list and have the legal right to sell them. Dhobara reserves the right to verify seller identity at any time and to decline or remove any seller account at its sole discretion.
All items listed must fall within Dhobara's accepted designer list. Dhobara periodically updates the list of accepted designers and reserves the right to reject or remove listings that do not meet curation standards.
3. Authenticity
All items listed on Dhobara must be 100% authentic. By listing an item, you warrant and represent that:
• The item is genuine and not counterfeit, replica, or fraudulently described
• All designer labels, tags, and markings are original and unaltered
• Any authenticity cards, dust bags, or certificates included are genuine
• You have not misrepresented the item's provenance, age, or origin
Listing of counterfeit or inauthentic items will result in immediate removal of all your listings, permanent banning from the platform, and may be reported to the relevant brand and/or authorities. Dhobara reserves the right to pursue legal action in cases of deliberate fraud.
Dhobara is actively working to pre-authenticate all items listed on the platform. Sellers consent to Dhobara conducting authenticity reviews and agree to cooperate with any verification requests. Dhobara's authentication is provided as a service to buyers and does not transfer liability from the seller. The seller remains solely responsible for the authenticity of their listed items.
4. Item Condition & Accuracy
Sellers are responsible for accurately representing the condition, size, color, and details of every item listed. Photos must clearly show the item and any visible wear or defects. Misrepresentation of an item's condition or authenticity is grounds for immediate delisting and account suspension.
Condition must be disclosed using the following grades:
• New with tags — never worn, original tags attached
• Like new — worn once or twice, no visible wear
• Gently used — light signs of wear, no major defects
• Well loved — visible wear, clearly disclosed in listing
5. Listing Integrity
Sellers may only list items they genuinely intend to sell and currently have in their physical possession. By submitting a listing, you confirm the item is available, accurately described, and ready to ship upon sale.
Photography Standards
All listings must include a minimum of 3 clear photographs showing:
• Full front view of the item
• Full back view of the item
• Designer label or tag
• Any visible wear, defects, or damage
Photos must be of the actual item being sold. Stock photos or photos sourced from other listings or the internet are strictly prohibited.
Pricing
Sellers are encouraged to price items between 40-60% of the original retail price to maintain the integrity and competitiveness of the Dhobara marketplace. Dhobara reserves the right to suggest pricing adjustments and may decline to list items priced outside of reasonable market value.
Sellers may not list the same item on multiple platforms simultaneously. If an item sells elsewhere, it must be immediately removed from Dhobara. If you no longer wish to sell an item, you must remove the listing immediately. Dhobara may delist items at its discretion if they are deemed inactive, mispriced, or in violation of these terms.
6. Shipping Obligations
Upon sale of an item, sellers agree to:
• Ship the item within 2 business days of receiving the sale notification and FedEx shipping label from Dhobara
• Use only the prepaid FedEx label provided by Dhobara
• Package the item securely and in accordance with Dhobara's packaging guidelines
• Photograph the sealed package before drop-off as proof of condition at dispatch
Failure to ship within 2 business days will result in the sale being voided. Repeated failure to ship may result in all listings being removed and the seller being banned from the platform. Dhobara reserves the right to delist any item where the seller has failed to ship, as this indicates the seller is no longer actively looking to sell.
7. Seller Responsibility for Shipment
The seller is solely responsible for ensuring the item is properly packaged and dropped off at a FedEx location using the label provided by Dhobara. Once the item has been scanned by FedEx, responsibility for transit passes to the carrier. Dhobara is not responsible for items lost or damaged during transit.
8. Returns
Dhobara operates a buyer protection policy that allows buyers to initiate a return within 3 days of delivery. In the event of a return:
• The item will be shipped back to the seller's address
• The seller has 2 days upon receipt of the returned item to raise a dispute if the item was not returned in its original condition
• Disputes must be submitted to admin@dhobara.com with photographic evidence within the 2 day window
• If no dispute is raised within 2 days, the buyer's refund or store credit will be processed and the seller's payout will be voided
• The returned item will be automatically relisted on Dhobara without the seller needing to resubmit
9. Dhobara's Role as Marketplace
Dhobara operates solely as a consignment marketplace and facilitator. Dhobara is not a party to the transaction between buyer and seller and is not responsible for:
• Items damaged during transit by FedEx or any carrier
• Items returned by buyers in a different condition than shipped
• Disputes between buyers and sellers regarding item condition or authenticity
• Any loss arising from a sale being voided due to non-shipment
Dhobara will make reasonable efforts to mediate disputes but reserves final discretion in all decisions.
10. Commission & Payouts
Sellers agree to Dhobara's commission structure as communicated at the time of listing. The current commissions rates are: 80% of the sale price goes to the Seller and Dhobara takes 20% of the sale price; subject to change without notice. Payouts will be issued after the buyer's 3 day return window has closed with no dispute; payments deposited to the Seller may take up to 5 business days to process. Payouts will be voided in the event of a return, disputed transaction, or policy violation.
11. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be listed on Dhobara:
• Counterfeit or replica items
• Items not owned by the seller
