Who are we?

We are a couple of desi's who grew up watching the same thing: beautiful clothes being stored, not worn. Wrapped in dust covers, packed into trunks, waiting for an occasion that never quite arrives. We understood, intimately, why, because we come from a culture that invests deeply in the clothes it wears. South Asian fashion is not fast. It is considered, expensive, and meaningful. Which is exactly why it deserves better than a wardrobe shelf.

Dhobara was built on a belief that sustainability does not have to be a sacrifice. In fact, within South Asian culture, it never was. The tradition of sharing a bridal set, of passing a saree to a sister, of lending your Manish Malhotra to a cousin for her sangeet, that is not charity or compromise. That is community. That is the original circular economy, practised long before the term existed.

We built Dhobara to give that instinct a proper home. A trusted, professionally managed marketplace where South Asian designer pieces can move from one wardrobe to another with the care and dignity they deserve. Where sellers are not burdened with the logistics of resale, and buyers can access the pieces they love at a price that reflects reality.

We are sustainability-focused not because it is a good message, but because we genuinely believe that the most responsible thing you can do with a beautiful garment is let it be beautiful again. On someone else's mehndi. At someone else's Eid.

That is why we are passionate about this platform. What we say to you: "Dhobara pahan lo"

Pre-Owned Designer Wear - About Us

Building on our heritage

In South Asian culture, sharing has always been second nature. Borrowing your cousin's bridal lehenga, passing your mother's embroidered shawl to a younger sister, or gifting a barely-worn shalwar kameez to someone who'd treasure it more. Clothes were never just clothes; they carried memories, milestones, and love. Dhobara is that same spirit, reimagined for today. We are a marketplace where your cherished South Asian designer pieces find their next moment, and someone else gets to wear that piece to create their own story.

Come be part of continuing our beautiful heritage! So wear it....
